Helge's engine room is coated with a sound dampening paint made by Mascoat. Over the four coats of dampening paint is 5 coats of their ceramic insulation.
The dampening paint is sprayed to a thickness of 80 mils dry and the insulating paint to 65 mils. (1 mil = 0.001 inch)
